Some areas of western Cattaraugus County could see between 8 and 12 inches of lake-effect snow through Friday night, while the Olean area isnt looking at more than 2 to 4 inches, said meteorologist Aaron Reynolds of the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
Lake-effect snow continues to fall well south of Buffalo at a rate of 1 to 2 inches an hour and it may pick up to three or more inches an hour,said Aaron Reynolds, meteorologist with the weather service in Cheektowaga.

Winter weather advisory lifted, but roads still slick
Snowfall overnight proved to be more intermittent than expected, National Weather Service meteorologist Aaron Reynolds said Monday morning. "It just looked like it wasn't as strong as thought," he said.

We had a high pressure system parked over us, but were back to more normal conditions now. We dont see any more record warmth in the forecast, said Aaron Reynolds, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
