Abstract:

An article of headwear ( ), preferably of moisture absorbent cloth, having two narrow end sections ( ) and a wide middle section ( ) for covering the head and neck of a wearer. The inner side ( ) of the middle section ( ) contains a pocket ( ) near the bottom ( ) for holding thermal matter ( ), such as frozen liquid or heat pads. An optional semi-circular headband ( ) on the inner side ( ) of the middle section ( ) above the pocket ( ) may assist in placing and holding the headwear to a forehead on a person. An optional visor ( ) extending from the top portion ( ) of the headwear is also provided. The end sections may serve as handles to be held by the hands. Various other fastening means ( ) have been provided for securing the headwear to the head of a wearer. The outside ( ) of the headwear may also serve as a medium for advertising ( ). Cooling relief and protection from the sun, as well as perspiration absorbency, during hot and humid weather, or, alternatively, warming during cold weather is provided by this invention.

Abstract:

An article of headwear () for covering the head and neck of a wearer has a hood section () and neck section (). The neck section may contain a fluid reservoir () with an inlet () to provide hydration for a wearer as well as thermal relief and sun protection in hot or cold conditions. Handles () with removably attachable fastening means (), () and (), () allow the headwear () to be held by a wearer's hands or secured around the wearer's head. Preferably, the headwear has an inner layer () made of moisture-absorbent cloth to absorb moisture. Optionally, the neck section may contain a storage compartment () for folding down and storing the hood section as discussed.
