Abstract:A PVLAN having a primary and secondary VLAN's where the primary and secondary VLAN's have ports and the users connected to those ports. The MAC addresses of those users are learned in the primary or the secondary VLAN's and together with the port designation are stored preferably in tables associated with the VLAN's and the associated VLAN's. Abstract:Techniques for joint weight attribution for weights of candidate features of a candidate search are described in an example embodiment, disclosed is a system that obtains one or more suggested candidate documents based on a search query specifying one or more parameters. Additionally, the system extracts query intents from the one or more suggested candidate documents, the one or more query intents corresponding to the one or more parameters. Moreover, the system ranks the one or more suggested candidate documents based on the extracted query intents. Furthermore, the system displays top ranked documents on a display device. The system then receives feedback regarding the displayed top ranked documents. Then, weights of a hidden intent are attributed to a set of possible intents based on the received feedback. The feedback can be received retrospectively and proactively. For example, some embodiments perform joint weight attribution based on retrospective and proactive feedback ingestion.

Abstract:Techniques for identifying and presenting member profiles similar to a source member profile are described. With some embodiments, a general recommendation engine is used to extract features from member profiles, and then store the extracted features, including any computed, derived or retrieved profile features, in an enhanced member profile. In real-time, the general recommendation engine processes client requests to identify member profiles similar to a source member profile by comparing select profile features stored in the enhanced member profile with corresponding profile features of the source member profile, where the comparison results in several similarity sub-scores that are then combined in accordance with directives set forth in a configuration file. Finally, the member profiles with the highest similarity scores corresponding with the user-selected member profile are selected, and in some instances, presented to a user.
