Abstract:

Waterproof insulating panels are attached to waterproof furring strips installed on an interior surface of a concrete basement wall to create air cavities enclosed therebetween which are in communication with the upper story of a house. A heating cable along the base of the air cavities warms the air therein, such that moist air in the air cavities rises to the upper story of the house and away from the basement bringing the moisture with it, keeping the humidity level of the basement air lower. Finish panels are connected to the insulating panels.

Abstract:

A window covering sealing structure (10) adapted to seal a rollable window covering (30) having a flexible covering member (32) with a side edge (33) to a window frame (12). The window covering sealing structure (10) has strips (36) of a flexible, resilient sheet material adapted to be folded back on itself into a folded configuration having a longitudinally extending fold (38). The window covering sealing structure (10) also includes means for retaining the strips (36) in the folded configuration and for fastening the strips (36) to selected surfaces (26) of the window frame (12) with the fold (38) extending over the side edges (33) of the window covering to hold the side edges (33) thereunder against the frame (12) in sealing relation.

Abstract:

A glove and digit protective system has a glove with pockets at the distal ends of one or more of the glove digits into which a magnet may be positioned and yet relatively easily extracted. The glove with the magnets retained within the pockets interfaces with and retains a protective cover which incorporates a magnet to attach the protective cover to one of the magnets held in the pockets of the glove digits. The cover may have an extension including a pivotal extension which incorporates a magnet for positioning small objects. A plate which is wider than the digit to be protected may form part of the cover. The cover may have an articulating extension with a magnet or an extension with a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive. The protective cover may incorporate a ratchet mechanism and a handle to prevent rotation of the cover.
