Among other things, one or more techniques and/or systems for forecasting traffic and concurrently presenting images of forecasted traffic are disclosed to facilitate more efficient departure and/or navigation by providing an outlook of anticipated traffic flow for an area and/or a route (e. g. , associated with an origin and destination), for example. A predicted traffic pattern and/or associated navigation may be provided and/or generated based upon traffic data (e. g. , historical traffic data, current traffic data, and/or predicted traffic data). Additionally, a suggested departure time may be provided to mitigate travel time to and/or from a destination, for example. Abstract:

Systems, methods and articles that detect or otherwise analyze dark social traffic, which traffic was previously designated as “direct traffic” by Web analytics tools. The dark social traffic may be attributed to social channels which allows social marketers to analyze and prove the value of social marketing to their business. Such detection of dark social traffic may include analyzing a Web address included in a Web page request to determine whether the Web address (e.g., URL) includes at least one tracking parameter, which provides an indication that the Web page request emanated from a social share rather than direct traffic. Metadata present in a Web page request may be analyzed to determine the referrer source even when the source does not pass a referrer URL.

Abstract:

Tracking, and possibly rewarding or incentivizing those who drive traffic includes causing sharing actions via social networking or media platforms to register such actions with a tracking server. Sharing may be via sharing widgets, posting on Web pages, and/or copying and pasting URLs. The effectiveness of the tracking may be tracked, including over generations. Incentives may be based on effectiveness of sharing actions, for example number of clicks, or social and actual revenue generated. Incentives may include access through a pay wall Website or free or discounted access to content, products, or services.
