Abstract:The present invention is an article of manufacture for use in alerting a person of exposure to an excessive amount of ultraviolet radiation. In one embodiment, the article of manufacture comprises a first strip comprising a backing member and first and second patches. Each of the first and second patches comprise an ultraviolet sensitive material releasably disposed upon the backing member. Each of the first and second patches comprise first and second outside edges and an inside edge. The first and second patches are nested and adjoined along said inside edges of the first and second patches, respectively. The ultraviolet sensitive material is adapted to change from a first color to a second color when exposed to an excessive amount of ultraviolet radiation. In operation, a person may remove the first and second patches from the backing member as desired and apply the patch to an area of exposed skin. The person is alerted of exposure to an excessive amount of ultraviolet radiation when the UV sensitive coating is changing from the first color to the second color.

Abstract:The present invention is a kit for use by a person to apply a daily treatment of medication and therapy to remove a corn or callus from the person's skin while providing maximum comfort to the person and minimal damage to healthy skin. In one embodiment, the kit comprises a box, an AM treatment system, and a PM treatment system for application at night. The AM treatment system comprises a plurality of AM foam bandages each having a medicated foam pad of hydrocolloid. The PM treatment system comprises a plurality of PM foam protective covers and a plurality of PM medicated non-woven patches impregnated with salicylic acid. The PM treatment system allows the person to remove a single PM medicated patch, trim it to fit the shape of the corn, and position it as desired over the corn. The person may then remove a single PM foam protective cover and apply it over the PM medicated patch, covering it completely, thereby limiting migration of the salicylic acid to healthy skin. Upon removal of the PM foam protective cover, the PM medicated patch along with a portion of the dead skin is removed neat and clean. The treatment cycle begins anew, wherein the AM foam bandage has the opportunity to heal any healthy skin that may have inadvertently come into contact with the salicylic acid of the PM treatment system as well as softening additional dead skin of the corn prior to the application of the next PM treatment system.

Abstract:A box has a plurality of outer panels forming an outer enclosure, and a plurality of inner panels. At least some of the inner panels are disposed in a reinforcing relationship adjacent corresponding ones of the outer panels to resist crushing of the box. The box may include a lid moveable between an open position and a closed position, and which is retained in the closed position by a pattern of perforations. A blank for the box is a sheet-like member having a plurality of panels separated by a plurality of fold lines. The blank is adapted to be folded to define the outer enclosure and inner panels of the box.
