Abstract:
Optimization of a cellular network is facilitated by an apparatus that performs drive test measurements of a cellular network to identify co-channel interference. The co-channel interference is identified by measuring the signal strengths at various locations within a cell sector and analyzing the recorded information. A key aspect of the invention is synthesizing the received signals to identify the cellular transmitters originating the signals. If signal energy is detected from more than one cellular transmitter on a single frequency, the co-channel interference is identified. This process is particular well suited within a GSM cellular system by detecting the transmission of forward control channel messages and using the information within the forward control channel messages to identify the origination cellular transmitters.

Abstract:
The present invention is directed toward a system and method for identifying co-channel interference in a radio network. In an exemplary method according to the present invention, a first stream of transmission data having a first received signal frequency at a first reception location for a first period of time is received. Further, the first signal frequency of the first stream of transmission data is identified. Then the transmission data is correlated against a signal template to identify a first FCCH burst frame. Then, first FCCH time data corresponding to the first FCCH burst frame is identified and the signal frequency of the first stream of transmission data and the first FCCH time data is compared to a reference file to determine one or more probable transmission cells.

Abstract:
An operation control system for an electrically powered and remotely controlled vehicle to be occupied by a child with a steering mechanism to be engaged and disengaged for either local or remote control. A remote control device for selectively controlling the direction and speed of the vehicle. A remote control receiver in the vehicle for receiving control signals from the remote control device and generating steering mechanism and speed control signals. A drive motor for driving the wheels of the vehicle and responsive to the speed control signals; and a steering motor for controlling the direction of movement of the vehicle and responsive to the steering mechanism control signals.

Disclosed is a method for discriminating among transmitted signals broadcast in a distributed antenna system comprising: verifying that the base transceiver station is operating; determining the number of remote radio units in communication with a head end unit; imposing a plurality of different time delays for a corresponding number of binary data stream transmissions from the head end unit to a pre-determined number of remote radio units; and discriminating among the binary data stream transmissions using an evaluation receiver.
A radio frequency (RF) communication system comprising a plurality of RF nodes connected via a mesh wireless network. Each of the RF nodes comprises an RF node processor, an RF node wireless transceiver configured for data communication over the mesh wireless network that is coupled to the RF node processor, an RF node memory that is coupled to the RF node processor of the RF node, and a preloaded routing table in the RF node memory including all or a subset of routes in the mesh wireless network.

Abstract:
A method includes based on neighbor relationships among radio frequency (RF) nodes of a flooding wireless network, designating some but not all of the RF nodes as repeaters. The designating step selects (RF) nodes as repeaters such that each RF node of the flooding wireless network has at least two neighboring RF nodes designated as repeaters. The method further includes configuring designated RF nodes to act as repeaters to receive and resend network packet transmissions from other RF nodes through the flooding wireless network. The method further includes configuring all RF nodes not designated as repeaters not to resend network packet transmissions from other RF nodes through the flooding wireless network.
