Abstract:

An apparatus with no moving parts that enables the adjustment of the length and tautness of a serpentine article simply by sliding the apparatus. A self-locking and adjustable apparatus is described that consists of a body, an angled passage through the body for passing and gripping the serpentine article, and an anchoring channel for the attachment of one end of the serpentine article to form a loop in the serpentine article. The self-locking and adjustable apparatus can be used alone to apply circumferential force or with fasteners to apply linear force.

Abstract:

My invention is a mixer and dispenser having a dispensing top with an outflow channel, an air vent, and an air vent valve that adjusts the vacuum inside the dispenser; a rotor attached to a battery powered motor; and two switches, one for operating automatically upon pouring and the other manually activated. The vacuum system controls the flow rate during pouring and the constant mixing disperses the ingredients so that the samples dispensed are representative of the original mixture.

Abstract:

A process for formatting rivalrous fusible images having similarly shaped stimuli of similar binocular luminance and having other similarly shaped stimuli of different binocular luminance, which metamorphose during perception into identifiable shapes that distinguish fusion from suppression. The preferred embodiment is an invertible stereoscope for viewing rivalrous images, non-rivalrous images, and stereograms, having adjustable eyepieces, lighting control of front and rear chambers, and lighting control of right and left sides. In a further preferred embodiment, rivalrous stimuli in a complementary color scheme are viewed on printed material or on a computer screen through lenses of complementary colors. Neutral density filter placement that asymmetrically attenuates light to the eyes for detection of sub-threshold afferent defects is disclosed.

Abstract:

A vision-testing device is disclosed that measures glare, macular photostress, and the blue-field entopic phenomenon. Utilizing a mirror, the effective brightness of a small energy efficient light bulb is increased which allows a compact assembly. One embodiment places lights in the line of vision to closely duplicate the glare experience from on coming automobile headlights. The invention provides for testing glare under diffuse and focal lighting conditions which closely mimic environmental lighting conditions.

Abstract:

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a salad dressing mixing and dispensing apparatus.
