Abstract:
An ontology-based parser incorporates both a system and method for converting natural-language text into predicate-argument format that can be easily used by a variety of applications, including search engines, summarization applications, categorization applications, and word processors. The ontology-based parser contains functional components for receiving documents in a plurality of formats, tokenizing them into instances of concepts from an ontology, and assembling the resulting concepts into predicates. The ontological parser has two major functional elements, a sentence lexer and a parser. The sentence lexer takes a sentence and converts it into a sequence of ontological entities that are tagged with part-of-speech information. The parser converts the sequence of ontological entities into predicate structures using a two-stage process that analyzes the grammatical structure of the sentence, and then applies rules to it that bind arguments into predicates.
Method And Systems For Wireless Communication For A Field Service System
A mobile field system comprises a service center that is connected to the office of a field service organization and number of customers of the field service organization via the Internet or another computer network. The service center is also connected to the mobile systems of technicians who work for the field service organization by a mobile communications system such as a wireless Internet service provider. One or more message queues may be used to increase the reliability of communications between the systems. By using such a queue, messages may not be lost and the communications can be made transparent to the user of the remote system.

Abstract:
A composite reinforced mull post is disclosed for use in an entryway assembly. The mull post may engage a door on one side and a side light window on the other side. The mull post may comprise a one or two piece outer portion and one or more internal reinforcing members. The outer portion may comprise a plurality of interlocking pieces. The pieces may include a stop portion and a support portion, each with interlocking ribs. A first internal reinforcing member may be formed of engineered material such as a wood laminate, and a second reinforcing member may comprise a channel that extends partially around the first reinforcing member. The reinforcing member may include orthogonal portions conterminously received within a correspondingly shaped central chamber formed by the housing formed by the joined interlocking pieces.

Abstract:
A method for compensating for time mismatch between an interference signal path and a cancellation signal path in an interference cancellation system involves two cross correlation steps. The first cross correlation establishes a baseline by correlating a reference signal at a synchronous detector of the interference cancellation system with a reference signal through a signal controller and error signal path of the system, which is the signal route from a sample coupler of the interference cancellation system to the synchronous detector by which the residual cancellation signal is measured. When this process is taking place, external signals from the air path are eliminated by using an isolation switch in the receive signal path of a radio receiver system to which the interference cancellation system is coupled. The second correlation is performed between the reference signal at the synchronous detector and the external interference through the error signal path. This process is accomplished with the signal controller set to maximum attenuation and the isolation switch in the low loss state.

Abstract:
An immunoassay method for detection of antigen is disclosed. The method employs complement mediated lysis of vesicles loaded with In-111 or other gamma-emitting cation, and quantitative detection of the lysis by gamma-ray perturbed angular correlation (PAC) spectroscopy. The vesicles are labeled with a substance competitive to the antigen to be measured, and the concentration of the antigen in the sample measured by assessing the diminution in lysis due to the presence of the competing antigen. The method may also be used to assess the immunologic competence of a subject by injecting suitably sensitized vesicles and monitoring the in vivo lysis pattern by (PAC).

For many manufacturers, walls went out of favor when consoles became the category's focus, according to Albert Lin, president of West Port Home. High-definition flat screen televisions once commanded a high price, helping to do the same for entertainment walls.
