Texas Children's named Ebola center, will build isolation unit
Dr. Gordon Schutze will be medical director, with Dr. Judith Campbell and Dr. Amy Arrington as associate medical directors. The nurses and physicians on staff will have special training in infection control, hospital epidemiology and managing infectious diseases in such a setting.
"A big part of that was due to the annexation and the growth this area experienced, probably between 2004 and 2007. We've had a lot of new developments come on line," said Amy Arrington, Davenport's city manager. "We're pleased to see that we're still a growing community."
