Abstract:

Method and system aspects for calibrating an MR offset in an MR head are presented. A method aspect includes identifying an occurrence of a calibration condition to initiate an MR offset check, and performing the MR offset check to ensure an MR offset value has not changed beyond an acceptable tolerance in order to maintain proper servoing of the MR head. A system aspect includes a hard disk for storing data, a read/write MR head for reading and writing data to/from the hard disk, and a control unit. The control unit performs an MR offset calibration of an MR offset value for the read/write MR head in response to a calibration condition occurring in order to ensure maintenance of the MR offset value within an acceptable tolerance for proper servoing of the read/write MR head.

Abstract:

An apparatus for supporting a network behind a wireless station includes a gateway that can receive from a wireless station a request for a communications session. The gateway can determine whether to authenticate the communications session, and, in response to determining to authenticate the communications session, request from a server network addresses for network devices behind the wireless station. The gateway can receive the requested network addresses from the server, associate the received network addresses with the wireless station, and establish the communications session.

The same microcontroller chip is configured to be either a Target version or a Link version of a microcontroller. The Target version runs an application program. To debug the Target microcontroller, the Link version of the microcontroller functions as a master debug microcontroller to the slave Target microcontroller running the application program. The Link microcontroller runs an interface translator program between a Host computer that runs a debug program, and the Target microcontroller. The Link microcontroller communicates with the Target microcontroller using a fast, 2-wire interface. A method of making a conductive polymer sheet in which a hollow conductive polymer extrudate is slit and flattened.
