Abstract:

A method for searching a database that includes private social network data includes providing one or more databases including a plurality of database entries, a first portion of the database entries including private social network data and a second portion including non-social network data that is publicly accessible on the World Wide Web. The method further includes receiving a keyword search request from a search request user and searching the one or more databases or a keyword index thereof using one or more keywords and determining a hierarchy for search result items. The method also includes displaying at least a portion of search results items according to the hierarchy. And, determining whether the user has access rights to a particular subset of the private social network data and wherein if the user has access rights to the particular subset of private social network data, using at least a portion of the particular subset of social network data in the step of (i) searching the one or more databases, (ii) determining the hierarchy, and/or (iii) displaying the search result items.

Methods for accurately comparing the levels of ionizable lipids in two cell populations that differ in some respect from each other using mass spectroscopy and isotopic labeling are provided. The methods can be used to identify a change in a lipid of interest in response to a cellular, chemical, genetic, or environmental change to the cell population (i. e. , a lipid response to a cell perturbation). Abstract:

A method for generating a database of activities associated with places of interests having names that are non-descriptive of the activity includes, providing a social network that includes a plurality of unique users, each user having a social network user account; providing a social network user interface for creating a place of interest entry, wherein the user input interface requests from the social network user an activity that can be performed at the place of interest; for each of the plurality of unique users creating a plurality of places of interest entries by (i) obtaining a location of the place of interest having a name or type of a place of interest (POI) associated therewith; and (ii) receiving from the particular user, an activity that can be performed at the place of interest, wherein the name or type of the place of interest is non-descriptive of the activity that can be performed at the place of interest. Abstract:

Hydraulic cements, such as Portland cements and other cements that include substantial quantities of tricalcium silicate (CS), dicalcium silicate (CS), tricalcium aluminate (CA), and/or tetracalcalcium alumino-ferrite (CAF), are particle size optimized to have increased reactivity compared to cements of similar chemistry and/or decreased water demand compared to cements of similar fineness. Increasing hydraulic cement reactivity increases early strength development and release of reactive calcium hydroxide, both of which enhance SCM replacement and 1-28 day strengths compared to blends of conventional Portland cement and one or more SCMs, such as coal ash, slag or natural pozzolan. Decreasing the water demand can improve strength by decreasing the water-to-cement ratio for a given workability. The narrow PSD cements are well suited for making blended cements, including binary, ternary and quaternary blends.

Abstract:

Engineered cements are described that include an engineered clinker fraction designed for use with one or more supplementary cementitious material (“SCM”) fractions. The engineered clinker fraction has a narrow particle size distribution (“PSD”) with a relatively high tricalcium silicate (“CS”) content as compared to traditional ordinary Portland cement (“OPC”). The high CS content and narrow PSD provide desired reactivity and set time when combined with the one or more SCMs. The clinker fraction may be combined with one or more ultrafine SCM fractions and/or one or more coarser SCM fractions to achieve a desired wide particle size distribution. By engineering the chemistry and the particle size of the clinker fraction and the SCM fraction to work together, the engineered cements can have superior packing density, water demand, reactivity, set time, sulfate resistance, and strength development as compared to conventional OPC-SCM blends.
