A system and a method for indexing pedestrian traffic are disclosed. Traffic information is gathered from counter units () placed at entrances in provider malls, retail stores, or other locations where pedestrians may be counted. The counters give daily reports to the traffic indexing system () of the amount of pedestrian traffic flowing through traffic monitoring points (). Traffic data are collected daily from providers and compiled into an index (). These data may be integrated and indexed with other data such as sales data, labor data and promotion data. Providers () and other users () may access the traffic index () along with other industry information to gauge their performance as compared to the performance of others in the industry or to make educated decisions on development and marketing issues.

Abstract:
An improved hydrocarbon reforming process comprising: 1. contacting a hydrocarbon feed with a platinum group metal, rhenium-containing catalyst in the presence of hydrogen in at least one reaction zone at a temperature in the range of about 500. degree. F. to about 650. degree. F. for a time sufficient to improve the catalytic activity stability of the catalyst; and thereafter, 2. contacting the hydrocarbon chargestock with the catalyst in the presence of hydrogen at hydrocarbon reforming conditions including a higher temperature than the temperature at which step (1) occurred.

Abstract:
A process for reducing the sulfur content of hydrocarbon material by oxidizing the sulfur impurities contained in the hydrocarbon material, contacting the oxidized sulfur-containing hydrocarbon material with at least one of certain metal containing components at conditions to form a metal, sulfur-containing compound and recovering a hydrocarbon material of reduced sulfur content.

Abstract:
A process for reducing the sulfur content of hydrocarbon material by contacting, e. g. , heating, the sulfur-containing hydrocarbon material with at least one hydrocarbon hydrogen donor component capable of transferring hydrogen under conditions such that hydrogen transfer from said component to the sulfur-containing hydrocarbon material occurs to form hydrogen sulfide, oxidizing at least a portion of the remaining sulfur impurities contained in the hydrocarbon material and recovering a hydrocarbon material of reduced sulfur content.

Abstract:
An improved process minimizing the detrimental effects caused by inadvertently contacting a high sulfur, high water-containing hydrocarbon feedstock with a platinum group metal, halogen-containing catalyst is disclosed. The present process involves discontinuing the high sulfur, high water-containing feedstock-catalyst contacting while passing hydrogen over the catalyst. The catalyst halogen concentration is maintained or increased by the addition of halogen component, for example, during the hydrogen pass through. Once the sulfur contamination has been removed from the catalyst, normal hydrocarbon reforming is resumed.
