Description:

I have been enthusiastically and skillfully representing buyers and sellers of residential real estate in East Bay since 1984. My commitment and unwavering goal is to provide professional, proficient, and ethical service in assisting each of my clients in the successful purchase or sale of his or her property. I was born in Chicago and grew up there with my three brothers (one of whom is my twin). At 17, I attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where I earned aBachelor of Arts Degreewith a double major of history and French. After graduating, I headed west to the San Francisco Bay Area for what was intended to be a one month vacation. I never repacked my bags and have been here ever since! Within the next three years, I received a Lifetime Standard Teaching Credential with a specialization in Secondary Teaching from the University of California, Berkeley, and launched my seventeen-year career with Oakland Public Schools. During this period, I also earned an Elementary Teaching Credential and Masters Degree in Counseling from California State University, Hayward. I owe much gratitude to my teaching career for allowing me sharpen good listening skills, patience, and sensitivity to the needs of others: qualities that have served me well in my real estate transactions. I continue to enjoy the challenge of finding the right home for each buyer and marketing my listings in precisely the right way to obtain the highest and best value for each seller. In my spare time, caring for and recreating my personal garden in Oakland and working with friends in theirs renews my energy and provides new and positive perspectives on my life and work.
