Abstract:

A brush holder () for carrying a brush () and for providing adjustment of the brush relative to the commutator () of a dynamoelectric machine (). The brush holder provides for adjustment of the gap () between the commutator and the brush, and for adjustment of the brush in the axial direction along the commutator. The brush holder also locks the brush at the desired position for operation in the dynamoelectric machine.

Abstract:

A rotor winding series connector is for a dynamoelectric machine, such as an exciter of a generator apparatus including a rotor and a stator surrounding the rotor. The rotor may include rotor windings defining at least one pair of first and second rotor winding ends arranged in spaced relation. The rotor winding series connector may include a C-shaped connector body including a medial connector portion and respective first and second end connector portions extending outwardly therefrom. The rotor winding series connector may further include first and second connector brackets carried by the respective first and second end connector portions for receiving the respective first and second rotor winding ends therein.
