I love swimming, sailing, making dolls and stuffed animals and their costumes; writing, reading, being with children as they grow and learn; languages, travel, learning as much as I can about the natural sciences and trying to penetrate the more arcane disciplines. I find that I can translate carefully guarded research and its findings in a way that doesn't insult the researcher and informs the reader or listener in a dramatic and exciting fashion. I enjoy following politics and welcome the constantly changing means of expressing my opinions and reactions.
