As a school administrator, she used her tenacity, attention to details, strong feelings of empathy, and of course, humor and optimism. Barbara is an avid tennis and bridge player, games which both require work with a team. The key is to communicate clearly and precisely. The same is true in a real estate transaction. Daily telephone calls or e-mails are necessary, especially during the negotiation of offers. Partnership and close teamwork are keys to a smooth and successful transaction. Working with International clients requires a special kind of partnership. The concept of international law firms that specialize in immigration, a countrys tax laws, the movement of currency, and the best means of structuring the transaction are important topics. Global partnerships have become part of Barbaras business. She has been fortunate to make close contacts in Germany and London. The neighborhoods in the Upper East and West Sides have been the focus of Barbaras work. She has represented more sellers than buyers. In several cases, she has represented individuals selling one home and purchasing another. Barbara has received repeat business and high praise from her clients.
