Barbara Uses Her Creative Talent to Help You Find Your Perfect Home Barbara was born on Long Island, New York. Her mother was an artist and her father a chief warrant officer in the Navy. She moved to Alabama at the age of 7 with her family. Throughout school, Barbara had numerous interests, including art, reading, sewing, dancing, singing, drawing, playing baseball, track, oil painting, bowling and roller skating. She had two career ambitions: to become an artist and to become a doctor. Barbara married and had four sons and enjoyed the active life of keeping up with four boys. Later, Barbara studied interior design and began expressing her artistic talents by helping her friends, clients and family create beautiful homes in which to live.
