Barry began his real estate career on the Monterey Peninsula. After receiving his broker's license, he created his own company, Peninsula Realty, which was located at 5th & San Carlos in Carmel-by-the-Sea. His focus was primarily the Carmel and the Pebble Beach market. After relocating to the Reno/Tahoe area in 1993, Barry also obtained his Nevada broker's license. The focus of his brokerage company (Throgmorton & Co) shifted from residential properties to investment real estate with offices in Reno and Las Vegas. He specialized in 1031 transactions in the $2-$20 Million range representing clients and sourcing investment properties west of the Mississippi. With the downturn of the investment market in 2008, Barry would returned to the Monterey Peninsula in 2010. Barry's extensive experience in the real estate industry, coupled with his intimate knowledge of the Monterey Peninsula, ensures that his clients will receive the best representation possible.
