Description:
Blythe Ann Smith is guided by a vision to help clients achieve their goals, by a passion to facilitate the process, and by a drive to ensure that all involved succeed. Her nurturing guidance and attentive service assure outstanding results for clients who have come to rely on the unparalleled knowledge, integrity and dedication she brings to their transaction. As a result, Blythe was listed in the top 7%, based upon customer satisfaction, in the 2011 and 2012 edition (coming out in March) of CT Magazine. Blythe has resided in Connecticut since 2002, and began selling real estate here soon thereafter. Raised in Scarsdale, NY, she also lived in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan where she helped design and build the first active solar home in the state, and gained a keen understanding of "green" construction. In fact, she has achieved "Green Designation Specialist." Long intrigued by real estate, the environment, and historic homes, Blythe also received a Historic Preservation Award for the renovation of a Victorian home in Illinois. This experience afforded her a greater sense of competency in selling antique homes, which are among her favorite kinds, as are waterfront and horse properties. However Blythe works effectively with clients seeking and selling property types of any and all kinds. A graduate realtor (GRI) and Prudential Relocation Specialist, Blythe is committed to her field and the clients she serves, whether she is working with someone locally or helping them find the right agent contact in areas around the country. Prior to entering real estate, she spent 23 years as a Masters-level Marriage and Family therapist, and served as program director of a hospital department. Blythe continually demonstrates her proven expertise in bringing people together, negotiating winning situations and orchestrating successful outcomes in her real estate work every day. Residing in Guilford, which she calls the quintessential New England town, Blythe plays an active role in community planning to keep the neighborhood at its best. She resides with her husband, owner of Sextant Business Technology Solutions, LLC. One daughter attends Smith College. The other resides in Atlanta. While Guilford is her hometown, Blythe specializes in shoreline communities east of I-91 to Old Saybrook, as well as Durham, Killingworth and towns bordering the Connecticut River.
