Abstract:

A configuration model dividing and configuration sub-model inference processing system and procedure addresses the issue of configuration model and query complexity by breaking a configuration problem down into a set of smaller problems, solving them individually and recombining the results into a single result that is equivalent to a conventional inference procedure. In one embodiment, a configuration model is divided into configuration sub-models that can respectively be processed using existing data processing resources. A sub-model inference procedure provides a way to scale queries to larger and more complicated configuration models. Thus, the configuration model dividing and configuration sub-model processing system and inference procedure allows processing by a data processing system of configuration models and queries whose collective complexity exceeds the complexity of otherwise unprocessable conventional, consolidated configuration models and queries.

Abstract:

A steerable sheath having an inner catheter that can slide and rotate within an outer rigid composite catheter and whereby an entire range of curvatures can be formed by the distal end of the inner catheter through sliding and/or rotating the inner catheter within the outer catheter. The inner catheter can be releasably locked within the outer catheter. Curvature indicia are provided on the inner sheath to facilitate creating a particular three-dimensional curve. Apertures are provided in the inner sheath to permit flushing the device with a single flushing source.

Abstract:

A model consolidation process combines multiple configuration models into a single unified configuration model that contains the union of the allowable combinations (i. e. combinations that are buildable) from each of the original models. An aspect of at least one embodiment of the model consolidation process is that it allows models to be combined in such a way that any incompatibilities or contradictions between models are detected and automatically resolved where possible. If an incompatibility is detected that cannot be automatically resolved, then the configuration models should not be combined. Instead if this incompatibility case occurs, at least one embodiment of the model consolidation process produces a description of the problem encountered and report the problem along with the necessary information required for a human to resolve it.
