A method and system are provided in which a charging process for rechargeable batteries is controlled in accordance with selected predetermined variable conditions. System, method and program for making same data available from different file systems to clients. The data is transferred to each of the file systems. Respective time periods required to rename the data in the file systems from a first name to a second name are estimated. The data with the first name is not available to the clients. The data with the second name is available to the clients. Renaming of the data in the file systems from the first name to the second name is scheduled. The scheduling is based at least in part on the estimated respective time periods to rename the data in the file systems. Preferably, the scheduling is timed to result in completion of the renaming of the data in all of the file systems at approximately a same time. Preferably, one of the time periods to rename the data in the file systems is based at least in part on a time period to transfer the data to a server associated with the file system and a wait time within the server to schedule the renaming.

Web pages transmitted from a server to a web browser have at least two scripts and an AJAX-technique web page update command monitoring and collecting script error conditions, and for data exchange between the browser and a server to dynamically update the web pages without interruption of interaction flow caused by a full page refresh action. An browser AJAX engine executes the update commands, intercepts script calls to the server, converts the calls to HTTP requests, receives XML data from the server, and delivers corresponding web page and cascading style sheets to the browser for display and interpretation, using a background channel asynchronous connection to send a non-cacheable error message to an error processing server.

A method, system and computer program product for enhancing the usability of web browsers by analyzing the recent behavior of an operator while executing a search pattern on a computer network. In particular, a browser enhancement utility provides web browsers with the ability to store (for a limited time period) search terms used in a variety of web search patterns. The browser enhancement utility employs ranking algorithms to identify the relationships between searches and a ranking and matching algorithm to utilize stored search terms to find (text) matches in a web document. When the browser displays web pages after a search has occurred, the browser enhancement utility utilizes these matches in order to take actions to enhance document usability. These actions include: Highlighting terms that have been recently searched for; pre-selecting matching terms from drop down boxes or radio buttons; and focusing a web page to relevant sections of text.

A system, a method, and a computer readable media for identifying and rating a VU object in a virtual universe are provided. The method includes displaying first and second VU objects in a region of the virtual universe on a display device at a first time for a first user. The method further includes identifying the second VU object which modifies a view of the first VU object. The method further includes inputting first rating information associated with the second VU object that identifies a user perception of the second VU object. The method further includes inputting user view preference information indicating rating information for selecting VU objects to be displayed in the region of the virtual universe to the first user. The method further includes displaying the first VU object in the region of the virtual universe on the display device for the first user at a second time after the first time, while not displaying the second VU object based on both the first rating information associated with the second VU object, and the rating information of the user view preference information.
