Abstract:

A machine-driven saw blade comprising (1) a blade body having a blade body edge including a plurality of primary saw teeth for cutting during blade movement in a first direction, the primary teeth spaced at a primary tooth pitch and each having a primary tooth tip and primary-tooth leading and trailing edges and (2) at least one secondary saw tooth on the trailing edge of a subset of primary saw teeth, the at least one secondary saw tooth having a secondary tooth tip and a secondary-tooth leading edge configured for cutting during blade movement in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Abstract:

A method and beverage container assembly for determining a level of liquid in a beverage container having a lid removably attached thereto. The beverage container assembly including a sensor configured to measure sound waves in the beverage container assembly. A processor is electronically coupled to the sensor, and to memory provided with executable instructions for causing the processor to determine the level of liquid. The executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to receive a sound wave measurement from the sensor, obtain a frequency characteristic of the sound wave measurement, and obtain reference information regarding a set of characteristics of the beverage container assembly. The processor may determine the level of liquid in the beverage container assembly based on the frequency characteristic and the reference information.

Abstract:

A perpendicular axis saw blade includes a blade body with an outer blade body edge to which a plurality of primary saw teeth are affixed at spaced intervals to form a primary teeth per inch (TPI). The blade also includes a plurality of primary gullets. Each primary gullet is located between two of the plurality of primary teeth and has a primary gullet depth and primary gullet capacity. Each of the plurality of the primary teeth includes a primary tooth tip, a primary tooth leading edge, a primary tooth trailing edge. Secondary saw teeth affixed at spaced intervals to the primary tooth trailing edge or at least one primary gullet form a secondary TPI. The primary teeth cut a workpiece during a machining operation. A user or system can use the secondary teeth to cut through a foreign object detected in the workpiece without damaging any primary teeth.

Abstract:

A marine propulsion and power supply for maritime vessels that includes an arrangement of modules that can be internal combustion engines, regenerative electric motors, engine generators, turbine generators and/or battery banks. These components can be arranged in such a way as to work together to increase efficiency and to utilize various fuel combinations to achieve the lowest overall operating cost or other goals whilst minimizing harmful emissions.
