Abstract:
A door lock includes a housing suitable for secure attachment to a door, a cylinder body within the housing and selectively rotatable with respect to the housing, and a rotating member with a key receptacle selectively rotatable with respect to the cylinder body. The rotating member is coupled to a tailpiece. A first locking device allows the rotation of the cylinder body with respect to the housing upon the presentation of an appropriate electronic credential, and a second locking device allows rotation of the rotating member together with the tailpiece with respect to the cylinder body upon the insertion of an appropriate key in the key receptacle.

Abstract:
A lock cylinder for a door including an opening, and operable to interact with a latch bolt assembly. The lock cylinder includes a housing that has a cavity, and a plug assembly that has a casing and a plug housed in the casing and rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The plug is operable to interact with the latch bolt assembly, and the casing is disposed within the cavity. The lock cylinder also includes a spin ring member that at least partially encloses the housing, and an adapter that is configured to be installed in the opening of the door and that includes a spin ring interface engaged with the spin ring member. The adapter further includes a shield portion extendable into the opening of the door, and the spin ring interface and the shield portion are formed as a single piece.
A combination door latch and deadbolt assembly that has first and second configurations for use with a door having a deadbolt aperture and a latchbolt aperture spaced by either a first vertical distance or a second vertical distance. The second vertical distance is less than the first vertical distance. In the first configuration, an insert slide is connected to an interconnect slide for vertical movement with the interconnect slide and the interconnect slide is operably connected to a deadbolt assembly via the insert slide. The insert slide and interconnect slide are movable vertically to move a deadbolt from an extended position to a retracted position in response to movement of an interior actuator from a first position to a second position. In the second configuration, the interconnect slide is operably connected to the deadbolt assembly without the insert slide.

Abstract:
An easily expandable and interchangeable library system is achieved by integrating several storage library modules which are specifically designed to allow easy transfer of storage media there between. Each library module is equipped with an integral elevator track which is capable of directing and accommodating the movement of a storage media elevator between the various modules. The storage elevator is appropriately designed to easily travel between the storage library modules, without the need for additional components or additional equipment. The use of wireless communication between an elevator controller and a library controller allows for the controlled movement an interaction of the elevator between library modules, thus creating an expandable library system within which storage capacity can be easily and economically increased without the need for additional equipment.

Abstract:
A connective device is for a deadbolt lock assembly including a moveable deadbolt, a rotatable spindle connected with the deadbolt, and a handle disposeable about the spindle. The connective device includes a connector, preferably a cylindrical pin, movably coupled with the spindle so as to be linearly displaceable between first and second positions. A biasing member is configured to bias the connector toward the second position. An engagement opening provided within the handle is configured to receive the connector when disposed at the second position so as to couple the handle and the spindle. Preferably, the biasing member includes an arcuate plate disposeable within the spindle, extending circumferentially about an axis and having a carrier portion engageable with the connector. The plate is deflectable to displace the carrier portion in generally radial directions with respect to the axis to move the connector between the first and second positions.

Abstract:
An adjustable backset deadbolt assembly providing operational and structural improvements. The deadbolt assembly can provide adjustability between a first backset dimension and a second backset dimension for allowing installation in doors conforming to various industry standards. The deadbolt assembly can provide adjustability between backset dimensions by relative rotation between the inner bolt housing and the outer housing. The inner bolt housing may be provided with a depressible snap finger to allow insertion of a protrusion thereon into a slot in the outer housing. In some embodiments, the slot is provided substantially helically through an angle of 360 degrees to provide common orientation of parts in each backset dimension. The outer housing may be provided to integrally form a cam housing and a bolt housing.

Abstract:
A lock device comprising a lock mechanism configured to be mounted on a door, the lock mechanism including a locking member having extended and refracted positions relative to the door for releasably securing the door relative to an adjacent structure, and the lock mechanism including a pivoting member operably connected to the locking member such that pivotal movement of the pivoting member about an axis moves the locking member between the extended and retracted positions, and an assembly including a handle manually pivotable about the axis, and a clutch mechanism connecting the handle to the pivoting member, the clutch mechanism at all times transmitting a torque below a predetermined value from the handle to the pivoting member, and the clutch mechanism at all times allowing the handle to pivot relative to the pivoting member when the torque exceeds the predetermined value.
