Abstract:
A computer readable medium and system for remotely monitoring activity includes generating first server heartbeat information at a first server at a local site, and storing the first server heartbeat information in a first primary site disk at the local site. The method also includes sending the first server heartbeat information from the first primary site disk, to a first secondary site disk at a remote site. The method further includes receiving information from a 10 second secondary site disk at the local site, and determining if the information received from the second secondary site disk includes updated heartbeat information.

Abstract:
A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer program product for managing computer workloads with security policy enforcement. When a determination is made that a component in a data processing system has failed to meet processing requirements, a candidate host to where the component may be migrated based on performance considerations is identified. A first security policy associated with the component is compared to a second security policy associated with the candidate host to determine if the first security policy is equivalent to or stronger than the second security policy. Responsive to a determination that the first security policy is equivalent to or stronger than the second security policy, the component is migrated to the candidate host.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and computer program products for the placement of a virtual machine within a plurality of cache-coherent NUMA servers. According to an aspect, an example method includes determining a resource requirement of the virtual machine. The example method may also include determining a resource availability of one or more nodes of the plurality of servers. Further, the example method may include selecting placement of the virtual machine within one or more nodes of the plurality of cache-coherent NUMA servers based on the determined resource requirement and the determined resource availability.
