A system and apparatus for growing plants is disclosed. The system includes a first thermal panel with multiple flow channels, the thermal panel being located between a growing space and a light source. A cooling fluid is circulated in a countercurrent flow pattern (i. e. in at least two different directions). The channels may be connected to one or more headers, which serve as a fluid manifold to deliver fluid and collect fluid from the flow channels. Growing closely spaced plants from seed or cuttings to transplants for the field or a greenhouse is one application of this system.

Abstract:
New cosmetic compositions are disclosed that are effective both as moisturizers and skin sloughing agents. The compositions contain neutralized weak organic acids that when applied over time to the skin in appropriate formulations will gradually increase in acidity to pH 5. 5 or less, for example about pH 4. 5, without causing skin irritation while exhibiting increasing activity in skin renewal effects.
A basic facial and body treatment cosmetic formulation is a combination of a cationic emulsifying agent, an oil soluble liquid polymer and a naturally occurring lactate buffer system. The basic formulation is a starter system that can be specialized to skin moisturizers, skin lighteners, skin pigmenting agents, sunscreens, antioxidants, line reducing products, wrinkle reducing products, anti-cellulite products, pharmaceuticals and the like.

Abstract:
A unique delivery method for providing optimal pH in topical skin formulations is described. Cosmetically acceptable skin formulations prepared with selected weak acids neutralized with ammonia will gradually increase in acidity after topical application. The initial neutral pH changes to a pH compatible with normal skin processes important for skin lipid barrier renewal and sloughing of cells from the stratum corneum.

Abstract:
An inexpensive, easily available and convenient method of inhibiting the transmission of the AIDS virus in humans as a result of sexual intercourse is provided. The method relies upon a dual mode of action of antiviral compositions comprising silver salts, such as silver sulfadiazine, alone or in combination with chlorhexidine or sodium deoxycholate. These composition are effective to reduce the infectivity of the AIDS virus and also kill the causative organisms of many other sexually transmitted diseases (STD). The method of the invention is therefore useful to reduce the immediate risk of AIDS transmission. It also reduces future risk of AIDS transmission by eliminating STD causing organisms which increase the risk of AIDS.
By an exercise garment comprising a waistband, a pair of upper leg straps attached to the waistband for positioning about the thighs with weight attachments at the front of the thighs, a pair of lower leg straps for placement about the calves and providing for weight attachment in the back of the calves. An upper body strengthening suit complements the lower body suit and has provisions for weights up the spinal cord across the shoulders to the elbows. This is carried out through the use of an upper waist strap with a generally T-shaped portion having a T-base up the spine for the support of weights with a cap to the "T" crossing the shoulders extending to the elbows and provided for placement of weights therein. Shoulder straps attach the upper T cap across the shoulders down the front of the wearer back to the upper waist strap for support thereof.
