Abstract:

The subject invention pertains to an improved air-operated hammer which can utilize a pressurized air reservoir located near a pressurized air entrance of the hammer. This pressurized air reservoir can continue to receive pressurized air even when the hammerhead is failing and, preferably, can enable pressurized, air to enter the hammer at, a faster rate than the hammers external compressed-air source can supply. The subject invention can utilize a compressed-air source with a lower flow rate and/or lower pressure in comparison with a typical air-operated hammer, in order to achieve the same hammer performance. Alternatively, the subject invention can utilize an equivalent compressed-air source in comparison with a typical air-operated hammer, in order to achieve superior hammer performance, for example shorter time periods to raise the hammer head leading to move hammer drops per time. The subject invention also related to an automatic control valve system which can be utilized to cycle the subject hammer. The subject valve system can utilize pressurized air, for example from a compressed-air source or a pressurized-air reservoir associated with the subject hammer.

Abstract:

The gantry pallet and allweather cover described includes, in its preferred embodiment, many improvements over the currently applied methods of storing, transporting and shipping the U. S. Navy's steam tube Gantry Cranes and accompanying appurtenances. Further included are lifting plates for safely lifting and/or handling and/or safely transporting the gantry pallet and allweather cover by a variety of methods. Another improvement is a provision for ridged, moisture barrier, non-corrosive cover that attaches to and seals against the gantry pallet frame. Another improvement involves a provision for on and off loading that allows substantial improvement in the speed of set-up and the safety in which, but not limited to, the U. S. Navy steam tube Gantry Cranes and accompanying appurtenances is applied to an aircraft carrier's catapult steam tubes. This invention will reduce the man hours needed to set-up, remove and install an aircraft carriers catapults steam tubes while protecting the gantry crane from the elements thus prolonging the life of the gantry crane and accompanying appurtenances.

Abstract:

The repositioner described includes, in its preferred embodiment, 180-degree repositionable mounting plates with repositionable arms that move up and down, allowing for objects not exceeding 30,000 lbs and which can fit between the mounting plates. Included in the mounting plates are holes for connecting objects that require repositioning. Abstract:

A filter locking/support system for releasably urging and maintaining a plurality of separate depending filter elements in a dust collector into and in sealing engagement with the partition between the "dirty" and "clean" sections of said dust collector, said system being preferably made up of: a plurality of parallel pairs of elongated linear filter trays adapted to support cylindrical filters by the mounting plate thereof; which trays are slidably mounted upon a plurality of sloping brackets (or ramps) attached below the partition between the "clean" and "dirty" section of the dust collector such that movement of said trays in a first direction slides said trays up said ramps so as to bring the filter mounting plates resting thereon into sealing engagement with the partition and movement in the opposite direction slides said trays down said ramps so that the filters depending therefrom are no longer in sealing engagement with said partition; an automatic biasing means being provided to urge said trays in the first direction; and an operator engageable release being provided to counteract/disengage automatic biasing when desired.
