Pollen collecting apparatus for placement at different levels within a segmented bee colony. The apparatus includes a centrally located pollen trap with an overlying scraper and pollen tray wherein both trapping, non-trapping and pollination enhancing operations can be performed by changing the position or orientation of the scraper without removing the apparatus from the colony.

Abstract:

To promote the collection and harvesting of propolis from a bee colony a fine mesh screen through which bees are unable to pass is located in a central ventilation passage of the colony by registering it with the scraper screen of an internal pollen trap. The bees deposit propolis on the screen which can be removed without dismantling the hive.

Abstract:

Apparatus for the production and collection of bee venom by the use of electrical conductors disposed in the colony with a fibrous pad therebelow. A square wave voltage is applied to adjacent conductors to excite bees and cause them to deposit venom in the underlying pad.

Abstract:

A dispenser for tablets from a number of containers each mounted in an inverted position on a rotating support member. Each container is provided with a receiving cap having two angularly disposed passages therein. Each cap is rotatably mounted in a corresponding recess in the support member. The base of the recess is provided with an angularly disposed channel which when aligned with one passage of the receiving means permits a tablet to pass through to the user. The location and angular orientation of passage and channel when in registration results in the dispensing of a single tablet from a container through the support member.
