Abstract:

A monitoring system is configured to manage lumen depreciation in a lighting fixture and includes an optic housing, a light source with a light-emitting diode (LED), a processor, and a memory device. The memory device stores instructions that cause the monitoring system to measure elapsed time during which the LED light source emits the light and, based on the elapsed time, determine a current level of the emitted light. In response to the current level changing from an acceptable level to an unacceptable level, an alert is provided to show that the emitted light has reached the unacceptable level. A reset input is received to remove the alert for a predetermined period of time. Changes in status of the LED light source are indicated.

Abstract:

A downlight fixture includes an optic housing, a light-emitting diode (LED) array, and a lens-less reflector. The LED array emits directional light rays in a downward direction towards an illuminated target. The reflector is mounted within the optic housing and adjacent to the LED array. The reflector has a hyperbolic wall continuously extending between a narrow neck and a wide bell. The light rays are spread into a light beam within the reflector upon making contact solely with the hyperbolic wall.

Abstract:

A fuse shield plate is pivotally mounted over the fuses which are electrically associated with a disconnect switch. The switch operating lever is connected to an interlock rod which extends to a dead front receptacle. Interfitting elements on the fuse shield and the interlock rod prevent the fuse shield from being opened when the operating lever has been moved to close the switch contacts. When the fuse shield is opened to expose the fuses, the interfitting elements prevent the operating lever from being moved to close the switch contacts.

A three-piece railcar truck assembly is disclosed. The truck assembly has two side frames and a bolster extending between the side frames. Each side frame has spaced columns defining an opening which receives one end of the bolster. Each side frame also has forward and rearward lugs at the columns, both on the inboard side and the outboard side. Each side frame lug has a stop surface that is aligned in a facing relationship with a stop surface of one bolster gib. There is a gap between the opposed side frame lug and bolster gib stop surfaces. The gap distance is limited to limit the truck warp angle. The neighboring side frame lugs and bolster gibs may be sized, shaped and spaced so that the truck warp angle may be limited to an angle of less than two degrees.

Abstract:

A sideframe pedestal jaw accommodates a bearing adapter which locks the adapter to the sideframe, thereby preventing it from all forms of movement within the pedestal jaw opening. Locking the bearing adapter forces the truck axles to remain at a right angle with respect to the sideframes. Maintaining this right angular relationship substantially curtails truck warpage, which induces wheel misalignment that leads to undesirable truck hunting and high speed instability.
