Abstract:

A system for inducing shock may include a first slap plate attached to a shaker armature of a shaker table system to impart a shock to any object being tested by the system. The shock is amplifiable by use of the first slap plate compared to the object being coupled to the shaker armature without the first slap plate. The system may also include a specific attachment arrangement for attaching the first slap plate to the shaker armature. The specific attachment arrangement and a configuration of the first slap plate may be selected to control a level of shock imparted to the object being tested.

Abstract:

A system to simulate pyrotechnic shock may include a pulse or signal generator to generate a predetermined signal waveform. A signal conditioning device may be included to condition the predetermined signal waveform to produce a predetermined shock simulation for a shock test. The system may also include a power amplifier to amplify the conditioned predetermined signal waveform to a chosen amplitude to produce a selected level of shock. A shaker system produces the selected level of shock in response to an amplified signal waveform from the power amplifier. A shock measuring device measures a shock imparted to the test specimen, and an output device presents a result of the shock test on the test specimen.

A system for simulating a pyrotechnic shock may include an electrical power amplifier, a shaker, and a resonance beam. The electrical power amplifier may be configured to amplify a transient signal waveform representing a desired shock response spectrum (SRS). The shaker may be configured to generate a shock pulse in response to the amplified signal waveform. The resonance beam may be mounted to the shaker and may be configured to magnify the shock pulse.
