Abstract:

In one configuration, an enterprise network is provided that includes geographically dislocated first and second network regions and the first and second network regions being in communication with one another through first and second networks and and respectively comprising first and second gateways and and first and second groupings of links connected to the second network A common electronic address is associated with the second grouping of links. In response to a request from a first subscriber to initiate a communication session with a second subscriber in the other network region, a media server determines that the first network is currently incapable of supporting the bearer channel for the session. In response, the first gateway transmits the common electronic address to the second gateway After the common electronic address is received by the second gateway the first gateway transmits in band to the second gateway an identifier that is used to establish the communication session.

Abstract:

After the outgoing communication is answered by the second gateway , the first network region transmits in band to the second gateway a user identifier associated with the second subscriber and/or a phantom user. The user identifier is used to establish the communication with the second subscriber.

The present disclosure relates generally to systems and techniques for applying color adjustments to a display. In certain embodiments, the color adjustment techniques may be employed to transition current color correction values, which are based on a previously detected temperature of the display, to target correction values, which are based on a presently detected temperature of the display. Adjustment increments for each color channel of the display may be determined based on the color channel that has the largest difference between the current color correction value and the target color correction value. In particular, the number of adjustment steps may be determined so that the adjustment increment for each channel is less than or equal to a maximum adjustment increment.

Methods and systems for supporting the alternate routing of calls between endpoints, such as session initiation protocol (SIP) endpoints, are provided. The present disclosure provides a communication system and method, among other things. As a non-limiting example, the method includes receiving a call from a caller, parking the call, and while the call is parked, determining a paging target for the call. The method may further include paging a first target area in an attempt to summon the paging target to retrieve the parked call. The method may further include paging a second target area in an attempt to summon the paging target to retrieve the parked call, receiving a response from the paging target, and based on the response received from the paging target, connecting the paging target with the caller.
