Abstract:

A process is disclosed for converting a gaseous or vaporized hydrocarbon feedstock to a product comprising ethylene, acetylene or a mixture thereof. The process comprises the steps of advancing a gaseous or vaporized stream comprising a gaseous or vaporized fuel and an oxygen source into contact with particulate solids in one section of an annular gas-solids contacting zone, said stream being deflected at the entrance to said one section of said contacting zone sufficiently to move said solids in a generally circumferential and horizontal direction, said particulate solids being at a sufficiently high temperature to effect combustion of said gaseous fuel, said particulate solids comprising an effective amount of at least one oxidation catalyst to enhance the combustion of said fuel, combusting said gaseous fuel, the heat from said combustion heating said solids, and removing a gaseous or vaporous material comprising exhaust gases or vapors from said combustion from said one section of said contacting zone; moving said particulate solids to another section of said contacting zone, the movement of said solids being effected by the flow of said gaseous stream, advancing said feedstock into said another section of said annular contacting zone into contact with said particulate solids, said feedstock being deflected at the entrance to said another section of said contacting zone sufficiently to move said solids in a generally circumferential and horizontal direction, converting at least some of said feedstock to said product, and removing said product from said another section of said contacting zone; and returning said particulate solids to said one section of said contacting zone. The resulting product can then be converted to higher order hydrocarbons, especially substantially liquid hydrocarbons.

Abstract:

A sensing system for bins includes a bin with at least one light emitting diode operatively mounted to the bin. At least one receiver for detecting IR light from the at least one light emitting diode is also operatively mounted to the bin. A microcontroller is operatively connected to the at least one light emitting diode and the at least one receiver. A wireless transmitter is operatively connected to the microcontroller for relaying information regarding the content status of the bin to an indicator. The at least one light emitting diode, the at least one receiver, the wireless transmitter, and the microcontroller are operatively connected to a power source.

The present invention provides a label base assembly with an indicator tab that includes a label base assembly having at least one mounting section linked to the major face received in the front section of the bin and opposed retaining sections formed into the rear of the label bearing face. Also provided is an indicator tab having an indicator section and prongs projecting from the indicator section where the prongs slide between the retaining sections of the label base. Also provided is an industrial bin having a front section with opposed L-brackets for use in combination with the label base and indicator tab.

Abstract:

A hanging, stackable and nestable bin for storing parts and components used in assembly includes a pair of footers and a pair of footer depressions having a complimentary shape to one another. The hanging, stackable and nestable bin also includes a notch with a projection formed in the floor of the bin that extends transversely along the rear wall of the bin and a complimentary shaped upper rear wall rim. The footer, footer depressions, notch and upper rear wall rim provide three point stacking support when one bin is stacked onto another bin. In addition, the hanging, stackable and nestable bin includes sidewalls that are generally planar at the rear portion of the bin which aid in facilitating nesting of one bin into another bin. A cleat formed in the top rear wall of the bin provides rear hanging support for the bin.

Abstract:

The multiple cleat bin of the present invention includes a base, a front wall, two opposing sidewalls, and a substantially vertical rear wall having an upper rim. The rear wall includes a cleat near the upper rim of the rear wall and a second cleat formed at the base of the rear wall. A third cleat formed in the rear wall may also be included. A fourth cleat formed in the rear wall may also be included. Preferably, a forewall and kick out wall are included to form a stacking space such that a second may be placed within bin for increased packing density for shipping or storage. The additional cleats provide additional strength for bins manufactured of more economical or recycled polymers that tend to be softer or less rigid. The use of multiple cleats allows for improved strength and flexibility in use. The bin may also include multi-element structural trusses at the front wall, right sidewall, rear wall and left sidewall are integrally formed such that they form a single structural element that encircles the upper edge of bin.

Abstract:

The support clip for industrial bins includes at least one support on the clip and can be used to increase the hanging load of an industrial bin when hung. The supports may be in the form of ledges or cleats. The multi-support clip provides additional hanging strength for existing bins or allows flexibility to use bins manufactured of more economical or recycled polymers that tend to be softer or less rigid. The additional supports on the clip may also allow the bin to be hung in a sloped forward configuration. The use of multi-support clips allow for improved bin strength when hung and flexibility for placement and use of bins already in service. The support clip is manufactured by a process of metal extrusion, metal stamping, or metal die casting or polymer extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding, blow molding, and rotocasting.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a divider for industrial shelves having a planar base that lies flat on a shelf with an upwardly extending notch that accommodates the ridge formed on the front of many shelves. The downwardly extending spiral torsion spring is provided to fit over the front reinforcing wall of a shelf allows a snug but repositionable fit of the divider on a shelf. A reinforcing ridge is formed at the edges of the divider wall. Reinforcing ridges are also formed around a number of cutouts formed in the divider wall. The increased thickness of the reinforcing ridges decreases the flex in the divider wall when used to support items on a shelf. A chamfer formed at the base of the divider wall increases stiffness of the wall and inhibit cracking between the base and divider wall.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a label clip for use with a bin divider, having a first major face and a second label bearing face. Typically, the first major face and the second label bearing face are angled from one another by an angle of approximately 0-60 and preferably by about 20. The faces are connected to a divider of a bin system by an extension leg and a retaining leg and preferably an insertion leg. One or more reinforcing sections may link the extension leg and label face. The clip may also optionally include one or more gripping sections protruding from the extension leg toward the major face.
