Permit review, modifications, coordination, and editing from federal (USACE) and state environmental regulatory agencies to include vessel and concrete material inspections for sinking.<br/>Extensive experience operating and maintaining boats, trailers, boat trailering, trucks, GPS, digital cameras, and field computer devises. <br/>Began volunteer work in Galveston Bay region with Texas Parks and Wildlife side scan sonar and ground truth oyster program.<br/>Work with limited to no supervision and as a either team leader or team member (flexible).<br/>Experience with conducting conservation, management, protection, preservation, and/or utilization of natural resources marine/estuary/river systems, aquatic and terrestrial plant, fish, and wildlife work.<br/>Extensive field data collection and logging, analysis, and report writing on federal annual and final completion reports (USFWS Grants). <br/>Excellent physical condition and endurance.<br/>Extensive office time with computers for extended periods.<br/>Familiarity with environmental laws (artificial reef/oyster reef construction guidelines).<br/>Familiarity with various sampling techniques and procedures, ecology, habitat types, vegetation identification using keys (woody and herbaceous plants), taxonomy (use of keys), and hydrology.<br/>Experience in training, inspections, surveys, and investigative techniques in a variety of environments.<br/>Experience with communicating well with public, private, and governmental organizations and individuals.<br/>Texas CDL Class A.<br/>TWIC card (active).<br/>Microsoft Office Word, Excel, some Access.<br/>ArcGIS for Desktop.<br/>Side scan sonar operation, processing, and interpretation.<br/>Extensive experience in terrestrial, aquatic, and marine environments in all types of weather to include well offshore.<br/>Experience as an observer in the shrimp and shark long line fisheries, previous NMFS certification in tuna/swordfish long line observer. <br/>Certified Basic through Rescue Diver National Association of Scuba Diving Schools, Professional Association of Diving Instructors.<br/>NITROX Certified International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers and NOAAs National Undersea Research Center, University of North Carolina - Wilmington.<br/>Dry Suit Certified Professional Association of Diving Instructors and NOAAs National Undersea Research Center, University of North Carolina - Wilmington.<br/>MK 25 MOD O and 2 100% oxygen rebreather. <br/>Military Qualified Dive Supervisor (Open circuit and MK 25 MOD 0 and 2 rebreather).<br/>Mechanical skills: hand and power tools, chain saws (extensive), basic construction and electrical, basic welding OJT/familiarization, Oxy-Acetylene torch, Sterling dump trucks (10 speed), low boy trailers, farm tractor operation, fork lift and small crane training.<br/>National Park Service Seasonal Law Enforcement training and experience - 2 seasons as park ranger, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Medora, ND.<br/>EMT certification (past-expired)<br/><br/>
