Abstract:
Techniques to facilitate assignment and scheduling of activities. In accordance with a method, a chart showing a calendar of schedule for a number of available resources is provided in a first frame (or window) in a user interface menu, and a number of objects representative of a number of unplanned activities are provided in a second frame. A selection for an unplanned activity in the second frame (or a planned activity in the first frame) is received and, in response, selected ones of a number of objects in the chart are highlighted based on the selected activity. A request to assign the selected activity to a selected resource and to schedule the selected activity for a particular time duration is thereafter received. The requested assignment and scheduling may be accepted or rejected based on the requirements of the selected activity and the capabilities of the selected resource.

Abstract:
A method and system for routing intelligence information related to security. The security system provides rules that identify conditions and routing instructions that are to be applied to intelligence information. A security organization may create and modify rules to ensure the appropriate routing of intelligence information in a timely manner. The security system may receive intelligence information from various sources. Regardless of the form or source of intelligence information, the security system analyzes the intelligence information to determine whether any conditions of the rules are satisfied. When a condition of a rule is satisfied, the security system sends a notification of the intelligence information in accordance with the routing instructions for that rule. In this way, intelligence information can be automatically and quickly routed to the appropriate security personnel for further processing.

Abstract:
A framework for integrating applications using the Workflow Toolkit provides a graphical development environment for developing an Extensible Workflow. The Workflow Toolkit may include a user interface displaying a first list of application programming interface (API) services provided by a first application and a second list of API services provided by a second application. The Workflow Toolkit may then generate an integration component in response to a user selecting both a first API service from the first list and a second API service from the second list. The integration component can then be called from the first API service, and the integration component in turn calls the second API service. In response to the second API service being called, the second API service may return a result. When this result is received by the integration component, the integration component may return an integration result based on the result received from the second API.

Abstract:
Techniques to support various operations (e.g., drag-and-drop, stretch) and data manipulation in a browser environment, e.g., to allow data for an object located in one part of a document (e.g., a webpage) to be associated with another object located in another part of the document. In one design, a document includes at least one applet for at least one display window. Each applet includes at least one browser object representative of an entity for an end application. Each browser object is associated with a respective set of one or more scripts used to facilitate a set of one or more operations (e.g., drag-and-drop, stretch) permitted for the browser object. A data transfer object is generated upon initiation of a selected operation and includes data associated with a source (browser) object. The data transfer object may thereafter be operated on by various target (browser) object to effectuate the selected operation.

Abstract:
Techniques to schedule activities. In one method, a request to book an appointment for an activity in a particular schedule is initially received. In response, time slots available in the schedule for booking the activity are determined, and a set (all or a subset) of the time slots is provided as possible appointment choices. The time slots in the set are temporarily locked. A next set of time slots or more time slots may be requested (if the time slots provided are not acceptable or desirable), in which case additional time slots may be provided. Thereafter, a selection for one of the time slots is received. In response, the activity is booked in the selected time slot and previously locked time slots are released. The locked time slots may also be released if no selection is received after a particular amount of time.
