Abstract:
A hydrogen fuel cell power system having improved efficiency comprises a fuel cell, a source of hydrogen gas, a compressor for creating a pressurized air stream, and a liquid supply which is heated by waste heat form the power system and evaporates into the pressurized air stream to produce a pressurized air and steam mixture. The pressurized air/steam mixture, which is preferably used as the oxidant in the fuel cell, is combusted with fuel in a burner to produce a high-temperature steam-laden exhaust stream. The high-temperature steam-laden exhaust stream drives an expander to produce a power output, and a power take-off from the expander uses the expander power to, for instance, drive an electrical generator, or drive other system components. The evaporation of liquid can take place external to the fuel cell, or can take place directly within the fuel cell, preferably using a cooling liquid that is directly injected into the fuel cell. The fuel cell power system advantageously uses the low-temperature waste heat of the fuel cell to evaporate liquid into the pressurized air, resulting in a steam/air mixture having a relatively large expansion potential.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and method for enabling shared viewing and editing of time-based media with improved speed by avoiding manipulation and re-manipulation of a stored underlying video data format through the use of metadata processes and cross-linked multi-level metadata processes and systems for operating with a decision list tracking device.

A fuel cell power plant comprises a fuel processor and a fuel cell stack. The fuel cell stack has cooling water directly passing through its anode or cathode compartments. The high humidity cathode exhaust may be used to provide oxygen and steam for the autothermal reaction in the fuel processor, and may also be used in a combustor to generate heat and combustion exhaust. The combustion exhaust can be used to drive a turbine to generate power.
System For Individual And Group Editing Of Networked Time-Based Media
Christopher J. O'brien - Brooklyn NY, US Andrew Wason - Atlantic Highlands NJ, US
International Classification:
H04N 5/93
US Classification:
386 52, 386E05001
Abstract:
The present invention provides an easy to use web-based editing tool for time-based video content and media. The proposed system operates with metadata drivers for controlling a playing device without changing underlying encoded video data by tracking and recording playback decision actions by an operator/editor/user. Multiple user edits and multiple edit levels are enabled by tracking each step of the playback decision action and linking each to the underlying time-based video media.
Catalytic Heat Exchangers And Methods Of Operation
Michael Leshchiner - Needham MA, US Christopher O'Brien - Somerville MA, US Yanlong Shi - Littleton MA, US Darryl Pollica - Melrose MA, US
International Classification:
H01M 8/04 H01M 8/18
US Classification:
429 17, 429 20
Abstract:
A catalytic heat exchanger comprises a first channel and a second channel, separated by a partition wall. Catalyst coated metal substrates are removably inserted into the first or the second channel or both, which facilitates catalytic reactions in the channel. Energy released in the reaction in one channel is transferred through the partition wall to heat the fluid in the other channel. The catalytic heat exchangers can be used in a fuel processing system to convert hydrocarbon fuels to a hydrogen rich reformate.
System, Method, And Apparatus For Visual Browsing, Deep Tagging, And Synchronized Commenting

International Classification:
G06F 3/01
US Classification:
715738, 715744, 715753
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system, method, and apparatus for visual browsing, deep tagging, and synchronized comment regarding interactive time-based media data. Operational modules are provided that allow users to more effectively discover and preview and view time-based media in order to choose and locate sub-segments in time that are of particular user interest, and to provide user comments viewable by others on selected sections of the time-based media subject matter.
System And Method For Autogeneration Of Long Term Media Data From Networked Time-Based Media
Christopher J. O'Brien - Brooklyn NY, US Adrew Wason - Atlantic Highlands NJ, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707805, 707E17005
Abstract:
The present invention provides an easy-to-use centralized service for providing and using advanced video and audio browsing and tagging methods to create a revised and improved video media set and for enabling a user to auto-create a fixed media form of the so-edited and so-improved video. The present invention also enables a system that allows users to select varying degrees of automated creation of a fixed media form recording following editing and revision steps potentially involving synchronized tagging and commenting aspects. Systems and operational modes are provided for labeling and formatting the auto-generated fixed media data.
Operational System And Archtectural Model For Improved Manipulation Of Video And Time Media Data From Networked Time-Based Media
The present invention provides a novel operational system and electronic architectural model for organizing and improving viewing and editing of time-based video media and for overcoming the detriments required by the previous film and video industry based editing technologies. The present system enables an operator to manipulate the visual and audio perception of underlying video and audio data without changing the same. A series of metadata modules enable real-time operation and editing of video data and control of a play back module as well as an improved sharing, viewing, searching, and showing of underlying video and audio data.
