Abstract:

A wear gauge device () for use with disc brake systems having a boss () provided with a floating arm () and wear indicator pin () that track the thickness of brake lining material () wherein, the wear gauge device () includes an illumination member () mounted on one end of a telescoping support member () the other end of which is connected and disposed perpendicular to a wear plate member () having a plurality of different colored wear indicator segments () () () that are positionable behind the wear indicator pin () to obtain an estimate of the remaining amount of brake lining material ().
