A method and system for reducing correlated noise in imagers is disclosed. Methods are described for determining a pixel correction value. Correlated noise in data generated by imagers can be reduced by applying the pixel correction value to adjust image data before being displayed.

A method and apparatus for calibrating an equalizer. The method comprises the steps of defining one or more equalization parameters and calculating a bit error rate of a signal for one or more values of a first of the one or more equalization parameters by counting at least one of running disparity errors and incorrect symbol errors. Abstract:

System and method for monitoring a condition, such as directional orientation, of an object, such as a message sign, and generating an alert if the condition deviates from a predetermined minimum level. An apparatus associated with the object includes at least one sensor that provides initial and subsequent condition data. The apparatus transmits data to a remote monitoring station having a computer that can receive and store data. The computer calculates the difference in value between an initial condition data and subsequently obtained condition data, and compares the difference to a predetermined deviation value. If the difference value is greater than the predetermined deviation value the computer generates an alert. The alert may be displayed as an icon on a displayed map. An alert may be sent to a remote operator requesting correction of the condition, such as reorienting a sign face.

Abstract:

A multi-port memory device comprising a memory cell coupled to a first port and a second port. The second port receives write data for writing into the memory cell. The multi-port memory device further comprises an undo circuit coupled to the memory cell. The undo circuit invalidates the write data in response to receiving a busy signal. When the undo circuit invalidates the write data, the write data is not written into the memory cell. The busy signal indicates that the first port is enabled to access the memory cell at substantially the same time that the second port receives the write data. The busy signal may be generated by arbitration circuitry in the multi-port memory device or by arbitration circuitry in another device coupled to the multi-port memory device. For one embodiment, the busy signal may be generated by arbitration circuitry in a second multi-port memory device coupled in width expansion with the first multi-port memory device.

Abstract:

A light source with appropriate optics focusses light on the wafer surface during deposition, while a nearby collector is biased to collect photoemitted electrons from the growing surface. A pico ammeter can be used to convert the small oscillatory current detected to a substantial voltage signal which can be recorded or processed by computer or other sutiable device. The light must contain wavelengths at energies close to or greater than the energy of the photoemission threshold. The detected photoemitted electron signal has an oscillatory component occurring due to the growth of epitaxial layers. This oscillation has frequency 1/. tau. , where. tau. is the monolayer accumulation time.
