Abstract:

Systems and methods for parallel, discrete, simulations include functional capabilities to incorporate one or more human operators or actors into the simulation process. Such individuals can be presented situations where one or more decisions are necessary with respect to ongoing events. Entered decisions are incorporated into simulated events and activities being simulated. These in turn influence the behavior of those entities and also initiate the occurrence of other time-based processes. An architecture artifact or product can be automatically created or updated by recording how a sequence of events took place. The creation of sections of the DoDAF OV-6C Operational Event Trace architectural diagram, for the executable architecture model, can be automatically performed to dynamically provide event traces in response to a live exercise.

Abstract:

An enclosure provided with an air supply system, an exhaust system, and controls for manipulating the flow, temperature, dewpoint and relative humidity of the air within the enclosure are disclosed. The present invention aims to achieve with these components a system for containing chemical contaminants created during processing of silicon wafers during the chemical/mechanical, polishing/planarization processes involved in creating those wafers. The system prevents drying of the slurry used to process wafers by controlling the relative humidity within the enclosure via a humidifier, sensors and a controller that dynamically reacts to changes within the enclosure atmosphere. Preventing slurry drying is critical to maintaining high wafer throughput by reducing gouging and scraping of wafers and also by reducing equipment down time needed to clean dried slurry. An apparatus is also provided to prevent the humidifier and control system from exceeding dewpoint within the enclosure and thereby creating excess water vapor that may interfere with the wafer creation processes. Additionally, air supply within the enclosure is controlled in order to further reduce slurry drying.

Abstract:

A method of controlling operation of an air conditioning system () includes measuring a compressor speed of one or more chillers () of an air conditioning system and measuring a refrigerant pressure of the one or more chillers of the air conditioning system. A chiller load is calculated using the compressor speed and the refrigerant pressure. An air conditioning system includes one or more chillers. Each chiller includes a compressor (), a condenser () operably connected to the compressor, and an evaporator () operably connected to the compressor and the condenser. A controller () is operably connected to the one or more chillers and is configured to calculate a chiller load utilizing a measurement of compressor speed and a measurement of refrigerant pressure of the chiller.
