Abstract:
The layers of a semiconductor device have exposed edges. The layers that are susceptible to oxidation are protected from oxidation by coating them with a nitride passivation layer. The nitride passivation layer can be applied using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). A method of making a passivated sidewall semiconductor includes the steps of applying a nitride or other protective material over a wafer using PECVD or other appropriate deposition method.

A compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R. sub. 1 and R. sub. 2 are substituents; R. sub. 6 is hydrogen, loweralkyl, cycloalkyl, loweralkenyl, arylalkyl, (substituted aryl)alkyl, or (heterocyclic)alkyl; B is a bond, an alkylene group, an alkenylene group, an alkadienylene group or a heteroatom containing linking group; D is a substituted acyl group or tetrazolyl; Z is CO, C(S) or S(O). sub. 2 ; Ar is a heterocyclic group; and n is 1 to 3. Also disclosed are a composition and a method for antagonizing CCK, a composition and method for treating or preventing gastrointestinal, central nervous, appetite regulating and pain regulating systems, a composition and method for treating or preventing hyperinsulinemia, methods of making the compounds and intermediates useful in making the compounds.
A dustless mouse comprises: a circuit, a horizontal conic rolling wheel, a vertical conic rolling wheel, a pressured conic rolling wheel, a round ball and a shell, when the prior mouse is slid, then the rubber round ball will roll, thus it will friction with pulleys on all parts thereof, therefore, user's commands are transferred and completed. However, for a long time, the dust will accumulate between the pulleys and the rubber round ball so to reduce the sensitivity of the mouse, in consequence, the cursor on the screen will not easy to move. In the present invention, an improvement is performed, in which a conic rolling wheel is used to substitute the pulley so that the angle between the conic rolling wheel and the rubber round ball is enlarged, therefore, the conic tip will not easy to accumulate dust and dirt, thus the dust and dirt are not easy to accumulate between the rolling wheel and rubber round ball. The sliding function of the mouse is also not affected. Thus the dustless mouse effect is achieved.

Abstract:
There is disclosed numerous embodiments of a method and apparatus for a particle scanning system and an automatic inspection system. In each of these a particle beam is directed at the surface of a substrate for scanning that substrate. Also included are a selection of detectors to detect at least one of the secondary particles, back-scattered particles and transmitted particles from the substrate. The substrate is mounted on an x-y stage to provide it with at least one degree of freedom while the substrate is being scanned by the/particle beam. The substrate is also subjected to an electric field on it's surface to accelerate the secondary particles. The system also has the capability to accurately measure the position of the substrate with respect to the charged particle beam. Additionally, there is an optical alignment means for initially aligning the substrate beneath the, particle beam means. To function most efficiently there is also a vacuum means for evacuating and repressurizing a chamber containing the substrate.
