Abstract:

The present invention is a rotary magnetic position sensor having a pair of pole differentiated permanent magnets, wherein rotation of a magnetic field relative to a magnetosensitive device provides a varying output of the magnetosensitive device that varies sinusoidally with the angle of relative rotation. The magnetic pole differentiation is achieved by an external asymmetric geometrical feature of the magnets, as for example a wedge shape involving a pole face chamfer or a corner chamfer at a same polarity pole face.

Abstract:

A securement feature for axially aligning a rotor and a stator of a non-contacting rotary position sensor having over all sensor containment. The stator has a cylindrical hub axially centered on the rotation axis of the rotor. A sensor cavity is located in the hub whereat a magnetosensitive device is located. The rotor has a cylindrical socket and a pair of magnets proximal the socket which are transversely aligned with the magnetosensitive device. The hub is received by the socket, wherein the hub has a distal end portion which protrudes beyond an end face of the rotor. The distal end portion has a slot oriented transverse to the rotation axis. A clip is received by the slot and thereby interferingly abuts the end face so as to hold the stator in alignment with the rotor, and as a direct consequence, aligns the magnets with respect to the magnetosensitive device.

Abstract:

A valve is provided for controlling the flow of fluid through a valve block. The valve block has a fluid inlet port, a fluid outlet port, and a receiving bore for receiving the valve. The receiving bore hydraulically connects the fluid inlet and outlet ports, and has a central axis. The valve comprises a valve seat for placement between the fluid inlet and outlet ports, wherein the valve seat comprises a central axis which coincides with the central axis of the receiving bore, and wherein the valve seat further comprises an upper end overmolded by a valve seat attachment end of a plastic valve housing. The valve also includes a tube which comprises a central axis which coincides with the central axis of the receiving bore, wherein the tube further comprises a lower end overmolded by a tube attachment end of the valve housing.
