Abstract:

A radio interference detection and screening system for performs on-locomotive testing of Locomotive Control Unit (LCU) radios. To eliminate bit errors during LCU sensitivity testing (also known as Bit Error Rate (BER) testing), the system detects interfering transmission signals which may cause bit errors in the transmission of test data, and suspends the LCU sensitivity performance testing during periods of detected external transmissions. Once the interfering transmissions are no longer detected by the system, the LCU then resumes the LCU sensitivity performance testing.

The present invention relates generally to a On-Demand Video Training and Self Analysis System and Analysis System, for use in (but not limited to): sports action training such as: golf, tennis, baseball, softball, table tennis, cricket, fencing, martial arts, gymnastics, as well as other types of action related training activity where technique and form may need to be reviewed and corrected as it is occurring. More specifically it relates to a single or multi camera video recording system for recording and analyzing action related real time events at the source. The On-Demand Video Training and Self Analysis System is unique in that it combines the best features of Video Training Systems and Instant Replay Systems, into a single system which allows the user to immediately see and self analyze his performance and correct deficiencies on the spot, and see the results of that correction immediately.

An automatic calibration procedure for the EOT unit that does not require the operator to have access to the electronic circuitry.

Abstract:

An intra-train communication system includes a locomotive control unit (LCU) establishes a communications link between a lead unit and a remote unit which operate using different protocols and/or in different frequency bands. To accomplish this objective, the LCU automatically detects the type of lead unit and remote unit installed on the train. If the types are not the same, the LCU resolves any serial link protocol and arming differences that might exist in a manner virtually transparent to train operators. As a result, data is communicated between the lead and remote units in a way which requires less operator intervention and no software changes to the control computer of the head unit.
