US Classification:
528 28, 528 38, 528 42
Abstract:
Melt-processable polydiorganosiloxane polyurea segmented copolymer compositions are provided. The compositions comprise alternating soft polydiorganosiloxane units and hard diisocyanate residue units, the diisocyanate residue being the diisocyanate minus the âNCO groups, the units being connected together by urea linkages which also provide hard units. The compositions are prepared by continuously providing at least one diisocyanate and at least one polydiorganosiloxane diamine to a reactor, mixing the diisocyanate and the polydiorganosiloxane diamine in the reactor under substantially solvent-free conditions, allowing the diisocyanate and polydiorganosiloxane diamine to react to form a polydiorganosiloxane polyurea copolymer, and conveying the copolymer from the reactor.

US Classification:
528 28
Abstract:
The present invention provides polydiorganosiloxane oligourea segmented copolymers. The copolymers contain soft polydiorganosiloxane units, hard segments that are diisocyanate residues, the polydiorganosiloxane units and diisocyanate residues being connected by urea linkages, and terminal groups that are non-reactive, reactive under free radical or moisture cure conditions, or amines. The invention also provides methods of preparing the copolymers.

Abstract:
A repositionable privacy note is provided. In one exemplary embodiment, the note includes a substrate having opposing first and second surfaces, top and bottom edges, and a folding region disposed between the top and bottom edges creating in the note a top portion between the folding region and the top edge and a bottom portion between the folding region and the bottom edge. The note also includes a first privacy adhesive disposed on the first surface of the substrate. The note further includes a repositionable adhesive disposed on the second surface of the substrate.

Abstract:
A multi-layer article comprising a substrate and a dehydrofluorinated fluoropolymer, wherein the dehydrofluorinated polymer contains substantially no grafted adhesion-promoting groups, and the dehydrofluorinated fluoropolymer contains sufficient carbon-carbon unsaturation to increase the adhesion between the dehydrofluorinated fluoropolymer and the substrate.
