Abstract:

The present invention comprises a backpack having a plurality of compartments and modes. Each compartment has a plurality of pockets. The pockets are designed to hold tools or other items in an individual manner. The invention also comprises a waist belt having two quick release clips or buckles to be removable along with its belly pack. The buckles also allow a user to open the waistband and then to turn the pack around the users body so the back can be accessed by the user without the need to remove the pack from the users body. The invention also comprises a water source in the pack. A dedicated compartment allows a user to place a water container in the pack for transport and storage of water. This also allows a user ready access the water while engaged in an activity. A bicyclist can carry the rear bag on his back in a first mode.

Abstract:

A shoulder harness includes left and right shoulder straps having ends attachable to a front-infant-carrier pouch. The left shoulder strap has a lengthwise-extending first slot defined between lengthwise-extending first and second portions of the left shoulder strap. The right shoulder strap has a lengthwise-extending second slot defined between lengthwise-extending third and fourth portions of the right shoulder strap. The first portion extends over one of the third and fourth portions, extends through the second slot, and extends under the other of the third and fourth portions. The second portion extends under the one of the third and fourth portions, extends through the second slot, and extends over the other of the third and fourth portions. A front infant carrier includes the pouch and the shoulder harness with the strap ends attached to the pouch.

Abstract:

A soft child carrier including a soft body member attached to a relatively rigid back portion. A pair of shoulder straps are attached to the carrier adjacent to upper and lower ends of the back portion, and a waist belt extends from opposing sides of the lower end of the back portion. The relatively stiff back portion facilitates the transferring of the weight of a child to the waist belt such that a substantial portion of the child's weight is transferred away from the shoulder straps to thereby relieve the amount of weight carried on the shoulders and upper back of a person supporting the carrier. A seat adjustment is also provided whereby an adjustment strap extending along the back portion may be pulled or released to cause a height for the seat portion of the carrier to be increased or decreased depending on the size of the child. The carrier is further provided with a central partition which is movable between a front portion of the carrier and the back portion to accommodate a child in either a forward facing or rearward facing position.

Abstract:

A stroller includes a latching mechanism for a foldable frame that is remotely actuated through a sliding actuator on an upper frame member of the stroller frame. The sliding actuator is attached via a wire to pins which can be selectively placed in or out of engagement with a notch defined on a surface associated with the lower front frame member. A seat assembly on the stroller includes a seat back which is pivotably attached to the adjacent seat portions to allow the seat back to be folded when the stroller is folded. A canopy with dual extendable visors is removably attachable to the seat assembly. The canopy can be moved pivotably to a fully forward, fully backward, or any intermediate position, and the dual extendable visors on either end thereof can be selectively retracted or extended so as to achieve the desired amount of blocking of the sun and elements as well as to provide the desired ventilation. A footrest is provided on a front side of the seat assembly which is pivotably attached thereto and can be latched in a pivoted and retracted position under the upper front edge of the seat assembly. A slidable basket assembly is provided underneath the seat assembly which has a slidable frame that, when extended, pivots a back panel of a fabric basket assembly to provide easier access to the basket when underneath the seat assembly.
