Honor & Awards:
I have received four Maxwell Awards from the Dog Writers Association of America, one for best article in a regional club magazine for my article "The Integrative Medicine Approach to Lyme Disease" and three for best regional club magazine overall for The Corgi Cryer, of which I am editor. Since I became editor, The Corgi Cryer has received 41 nominations and14 awards in the DWAA annual writing competition. I also recently received the Mayflower Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club's Distinguished Service Award for my work as editor of The Corgi Cryer, as well as other contributions to Mayflower.
In 1996, while I was an editor and writer at The Dana Foundation, the Foundation's newsletter and Web site received Wilmer Shields Rich Awards for Excellence in Communications from the Council on Foundations.
