Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing uniform pressure, friction and/or contact between a substrate and a cylindrical roller in a brush-type cleaning system is described. The apparatus includes an alignment member adapted to allow pivotal movement of the cylindrical roller based on the topography of a substrate and/or the outer surface of the cylindrical roller. The method includes positioning a substrate between two cylindrical rollers, moving each of the two cylindrical rollers to a position where at least a portion of an outer surface of each of the cylindrical rollers are in contact with the major surfaces of the substrate, and rotating one or both of the substrate and the two cylindrical rollers relative to each other while allowing a longitudinal axis of one or both of the two cylindrical rollers to pivot relative to a plane defined by one of the major surfaces of the substrate.

Abstract:
Embodiments described herein relate to an apparatus and method for a roller assembly that may be utilized in a brush cleaning module. In one embodiment, a roller assembly is described. The roller assembly includes an annular groove having at least two substantially parallel opposing sidewalls adapted to contact the major surfaces of a substrate along a periphery of the substrate, each of the opposing sidewalls comprising a compressible material having a pre-compressed dimension that is less than a thickness of the periphery of the substrate.

Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for supporting multiple types of random access occasions. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station (BS), an indication of at least two types of random access occasions (ROs) including a first RO type and a second RO type for communicating in a first coverage area of the BS as part of a random access process for the UE to establish a connection with the BS in the first coverage area. The method further includes transmitting, to the BS, a preamble on an RO of one of the first RO type or the second RO type, wherein a preamble format of the preamble is based on whether the RO is of the first RO type or the second RO type.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), such as a vehicle UE may determine, based on one or more communication parameters of the UE, a radar field of view (FOV) for radar communications at the UE relative to a fixed frame of reference for the wireless communications system. The UE may determine a set of radar transmission parameters based on the radar FOV, where each radar transmission parameter of the set of radar transmission parameters is a function of the radar FOV. The UE may transmit a radar message using the set of radar transmission parameters according to the radar FOV relative to the fixed frame of reference.

Abstract:
A configuration to determine a timing offset between a first wireless device and a second wireless device in order to synchronize timing between the first wireless device and the second wireless device. The apparatus determines a timing offset between a first wireless device and a second wireless device based on at least one transmission received from the second wireless device. The apparatus determines a location of a target device based at least on the at least one transmission from the second wireless device and the timing offset between the first wireless device and the second wireless device.
Cooperative Radar Sensing In Wireless Communications
Methods, systems, and devices for cooperative radar sensing in wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may measure one or more radar measurement parameters associated with a radar target, the radar measurement parameters including a set of values and a first time stamp corresponding to the measurement. The UE may receive a report, from a second UE, including a second set of values for the one or more radar measurement parameters associated with the radar target, an identifier associated with the second UE, and a second time stamp corresponding to the second set of values. The UE may generate a combined set of values based on the measured set of values, the second set of values, and the first and second time stamps. The UE may transmit a report to one or more other UEs including the combined set of values.

Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for radar devices are provided. A radar device may detect an interfering radar signal from a second radar device that interferes with measurement of a return of a radar signal from the first radar device. The radar device may perform a timing adjustment action in response to detecting the interfering radar signal from the second radar device.

Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) message associated with a random access channel (RACH) procedure to a non-terrestrial network node. The UE may monitor a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for a contention resolution message associated with the RACH procedure during a contention resolution window. In some aspects, the UE may start to monitor the PDCCH a variable time period after the PUSCH message is transmitted. Numerous other aspects are provided.

"In addition, unlike nuclear recoiling signals where quite a bit of energy is quenched into heat and cannot be detected in a liquid xenon detector, most of the electronic recoiling energy is detectable," Dr. Dan Zhang, another researcher who carried out the study, told Phys.org.
