The synchronous network operates on a network master clock rate (Fn) with a frequency that may be higher, lower or equal to the source sample rate (Fsi). The digital information is transmitted over the network to the sink node. The sink node processes the digital information to generate synthesized source information.

The sink node processes the digital information to generate synthesized source information. Where portions of blocks of multi-channel data are transmitted separately, the sink node may combine the separate portions to generate synthesized complete blocks of multi-channel data.
