Abstract:

Method and apparatus are described for a soft tissue fixation device for being biased between a soft tissue graft and an interference screw in a bone tunnel. The device has a contoured body portion having an inner surface and an outer surface. A plurality of spikes protrude from the outer surface of the body portion, the spikes extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the body portion and parallel to each other. The distal ends of the spikes define a flat plane. A pin axially extends from the body portion for receiving a portion of the graft.

Abstract:

An access and positioning arrangement for use during an endoscopic surgical procedure in which a pair of surgical tools are utilized, such as an endoscopic imaging device for providing an image of the surgical site and a surgical instrument for manipulating tissue at the surgical site. The arrangement includes a housing for positioning over a surgical portal defined in the patient through which the surgical site is accessed, which housing defines first and second channels which receive the respective surgical tools so that the tools can be maintained in a fixed orientation relative to one another within the surgical site and so that the tools can be readily positioned in the correct positions relative to one another at the surgical site.

Abstract:

An arrangement for surgery including a hub and a cannula assembly connected thereto. The cannula assembly defines a first fully enclosed chamber extending substantially along a length of the cannula assembly, with the first fully enclosed chamber being coextensive with a head central passage of the hub such that a first tool is configured to extend through the hub and the first fully enclosed chamber. The cannula assembly defining a second fully enclosed chamber that extends along only a portion of the length of the cannula assembly and spaced from the hub. The second fully enclosed chamber having an entrance and an exit being spaced from the hub for allowing a second surgical tool to extend through the second fully enclosed chamber without also passing through the hub or the first fully enclosed chamber. The first fully enclosed chamber and the second fully enclosed chamber being substantially parallel.
