Abstract:
Program data generated by the host system to be used in programming one or more associated ISPLDs is converted using a first interface from a parallel data format to a serial data string and then transmitted serially to a second interface. In one embodiment, the first and second interfaces employ Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UARTs). The receiving unit converts the serial program data string to a parallel data byte which is then provided to the programming pins of the ISPLD desired to be programmed. Signals indicative of information relating to the operation of one or more of the ISPLDs associated with the host system may be provided to the host system via pin SDO of the asserted ISPLD. In this manner, embodiments in accordance with the present invention may utilize a two-wire transmission scheme, and thus two-wire interfaces, to facilitate programming of the associated ISPLDs. Having the capability to utilize a two-wire transmission scheme, in turn, allows ISPLDs in accordance with the present invention to be programmed using wired transmission schemes such as, for instance, twisted pair and coaxial, as well as wireless transmission schemes, such as, for instance, radio frequency (RF) and infrared radiation (Ir).
Disclosed herein includes a quick-release tubular seal including a tube having a first end and a second end. The quick-release tubular seal also includes first seal assembly configured to selectively seal against the first end of the tube and a second seal assembly configured to selectively seal against the second end of the tube. Additionally, the quick-release tubular seal includes a cam disposed on the first seal assembly, the cam being operable between a first position and a second position. The quick-release tubular seal includes a shaft mechanically coupled to the cam, the first seal assembly, and the second seal assembly, the shaft configured to actuate both the first seal assembly to seal against the first end of the tube and actuate the second seal assembly to seal against the second end of the tube when the cam is actuated from the first position to the second position.
Disclosed herein includes a solar panel angle adjustment system for actuation with a single hand. The solar panel adjustment system includes a tensioned variable ribbon configured to adjust the angular position of the mounting panel. The system includes a gear adapted to adjust the tensioned variable ribbon and configured to translate between a first position and a second position. Additionally, in some examples, the system includes a gear shaft mechanically coupled with the gear and configured to translate between the first and second position and actuate the gear, but the gear shaft is locked when disposed in the first position. The system may also include a spring adapted to bias the gear from the second position to the first position. Furthermore, the tensioned variable ribbon can adjust the angle of the mounting panel in response to the gear shaft actuating the gear in the second position.
Phased-Array Antenna With Precise Electrical Steering For Mesh Network Applications
A steerable antenna device for a reconfigurable wireless mesh network comprises a directionally-disordered quasi-uniform two-dimensional array including a plurality of antenna elements attached to the substrate. The steerable antenna device further comprises a plurality of switches for each one of the plurality of antenna elements, the switches configured to select, for each of the antenna elements, a respective phase delay from a respective set of possible phase delays by selecting a respective path from a set of possible respective paths in the network of antenna feed traces.
Data Aggregation For Distributed Optimization Of A Wireless Network
A network device operates as a node in a wireless mesh communication network. The device includes a wireless communication interface to couple the device to adjacent nodes via respective direct communication links. The device stores routing data indicating, for each of multiple destination devices, via which of the adjacent nodes packets can be routed to the corresponding destination device along a respective routing path. In a first instance, the network device receives a packet from an adjacent node, determines that the packet includes data for a destination device referenced by the routing data, and sends the packet to the destination device, in accordance with the routing data. In a second instance, the network device determines that a packet includes an update related to one of the routing paths, updates the routing data in accordance with the update, and sends the packet to one or more of the adjacent nodes.
Clustered Synchronization Within A Distance-Vector Wireless Network
A network device operates as a node in a wireless mesh communication network. The device includes a wireless communication interface to couple the device to adjacent nodes via respective direct communication links in a phased repeating geometry. The device employs a phased synchronization within the wireless mesh communication network to transmit multiple packets and create overlapping network coverage of a geographic space. The device receives a first packet from a first node during a first phase, a second packet from a second node during a second phase, and applies an exclusive-or operation to the first packet and the second packet to generate a third packet, and sends the third packet to a first adjacent node and a second adjacent node during the third phase. In a second instance, the device applies an exclusive-or operation to a first phase packet and a second phase packet to retrieve a third phase packet.
