Abstract:

A system is provided including a processing unit including an input module, a processing module, and an output module. The processing unit is located at a first location that is remotely located from a scanning location at which a remote medical scanning system is located. The input module is configured to communicate with the remote medical scanning system to receive scanning data obtained during a scan performed by the remote medical scanning system, the scanning data corresponding to an object scanned by the remote medical scanning system. The processing module is configured to use the scanning data to reconstruct an image representing the object. The output module is configured to provide access to the image reconstructed by the processing module to at least one of the remote medical scanning system or a requester located remotely from the first location.

A patient support apparatus includes a sensor capable of detecting vital signs, setting acceptable limits for the vital signs, and includes structures for monitoring the vital signs and providing local and/or remote indications to caregivers if the vital signs fall outside of acceptable limits.

Abstract:

A patient support apparatus includes an upper frame that is movable to raise and lower relative to a base frame frame. A mattress support deck is coupled to the upper frame and includes a foot deck section. The foot deck section is movable with respect to the rest of the mattress support deck to raise and lower. A drainage bag support is coupled to the foot deck section and is configured to support a drainage bag. Control circuitry controls movement of the upper frame and the foot deck section. The control circuitry has a lockout mode to limit the movement of the upper frame and foot deck section to prevent the drainage bag from touching a floor.
