Abstract:

A method for positioning a window on a user's display may include providing, in a window-based computing environment, an image representing a display area of a user's computer screen. This image may be divided into a plurality of regions. Each region may represent an area within the display area. The method may further include enabling a user to select a region from the plurality of regions, such as, for example, with a mouse click, keystroke, keystroke combination, or the like. The method may then include automatically moving a window, such as the active window, in the window-based computing environment to the area represented by the region.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a method of detecting persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia of infancy comprising obtaining a sample comprising patient nucleic acids from a patient tissue sample; amplifying sulfonylurea receptor specific nucleic acids from said patient nucleic acids to produce a test fragment; obtaining a sample comprising control nucleic acids from a control tissue sample; amplifying control nucleic acids encoding wild type sulfonylurea receptor to produce a control fragment; comparing the test fragment with the control fragment to detect the presence of a sequence difference in the test fragment, wherein a difference in said test fragment indicates persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia of infancy. A diagnostic kit and primers for the detection of persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia of infancy are also within the scope of the present invention.

Systems, methods, computer systems, and computer-readable code for implementing methods for client relation management in which fewer call-in numbers need to be maintained. A method for client relation management preserves a more-complete record of online and offline interactions of a customer with systems provided by a plurality of service providers. A session identifier (SID) is associated with a customer upon interaction of the customer with a website provided by a first service provider. Website interaction information is received from the first service provider and is associated with the SID. Information associated with an incoming call from the customer at a call-in number at a call center maintained by a second service provider is used to associate the incoming call with the SID, creating a record of an offline interaction between the customer and an agent of the call center. The record of the offline interaction is associated with the SID.

Systems and methods for machine-based matching of lodging inventory from a plurality of disparate reservation provider systems address the difficulties inherent in comparing prices to obtain a lowest possible price, which difficulties are inherent in the distribution of inventory to multiple third-party reservation providers who are generally permitted to utilize their own naming conventions when describing lodging inventory and who are also free to at least some extent to set prices for the various lodging inventory within their control. The systems and methods match room types using information obtained from the multiple third-party reservation providers, whereby direct comparisons can be made between prices for the same room types even when the reservation providers do not utilize identical descriptions or naming conventions for the respective room inventories.

Abstract:

A method and system are disclosed for delivering a package which includes an enclosure with a door. The door includes an access code input device, which has a tilt plate for entering a code. The method and system also include a mechanism for opening and closing the door and a controller, which is in communication with the access code input device, is proximate the door and includes an access code reader for controlling the mechanism. The method also includes the step of providing a package with a delivery label attached to the package having an access code comprising dimensions for the package to be delivered. The access code further includes instructions to partially move the door only for an amount of time needed to partially open the door from a closed position or partially close the door from an open position according to the dimensions of the package to only allow passage of the package.
